Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit their work to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before submitting, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included in the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may reject a submission if it does not meet minimum quality standards. Before submitting, please ensure the study design and research argument are properly structured and articulated. The title should be concise, and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Original Research Articles

Comprehensive descriptions of new research that present novel findings relevant to sustainable civil engineering. These articles typically range from 4,000 to 7,000 words. This includes the main text (introduction, methods, results, and discussion), excluding abstract, references, tables, and figure captions.

Review Articles

Critical evaluations of existing literature to summarize current understandings or identify future directions. Typically ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 words. This range accommodates the depth and breadth required to adequately cover a literature review on a specific topic in sustainable civil engineering.

Case Study

Detailed analyses of specific instances of sustainable civil engineering practices. Case studies usually range from 2,000 to 4,000 words. This allows authors to describe the project background, implementation, outcomes, and significance in sufficient detail.
