About the Journal

Smong Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and policy studies related to disaster management, disaster risk reduction, and local wisdom in mitigating disaster impacts, with a particular focus on tsunami- and earthquake-prone areas. The journal is published biannually, in June and December, and is intended for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers who are concerned with science-based and culturally rooted approaches to disaster resilience.
